Shift
I guess this is as good a time as any – I've moved! Or rather, I've taken my terribly infrequent posts over to Wordpress. Update and see y'all there.

In celebration of the formation our first ever partnership (where we somewhat disgracefully, for reasons unremembered, decided to skip Sunday School and have kaya toast instead), Pardna and I skipped our own bible study and sneaked off to catch a movie. In truth it was a common consensus to forgo the our first Dig Deeper session and follow our sudden whim to watch a show; due to a combination of unforeseen factors like the remoteness that is Jurong Point, a sudden influx of horror/gore movies, and the fact that Sweeney Todd only previews next week, we ended up watching Le Grand Chef, which wasn't too bad after all. My sister will be so proud because its a Korean show. At least no one gets cancer in this one. Well all in all a tru-antly fun night!

Be part of my mini social revolution against Facebook. It's quite simple, really, you just don't join. This has to be the most passive revolution ever – in fact, let's call it an unrevolution. All hail the Facebook Unrevolution!
Laziness has never had a more noble cause.
我要再回去Liannan!
With reference to the photo below, I really do miss those times and those guys. The feeling of waking up in the morning with your toes almost freezing off, trudging into damp cold streets off to do "the day's work" somehow all seemed better just doing it with them. (Yeeah Oh Yeah!)
Looking back, I think we all still can't quite believe the crazy amount of stuff we did there. Learning the Yao language; trying to learn the traditional dance; visiting old folks' homes; countless home visits; primary school interactions; meeting secondary school kids; having a mini-Sunday service; helping out at ATC's Open Day/Christmas party (hohoho!); 10 hour van rides; getting stopped by policemen along the way; being stranded on the highway for over an hour... Well, you get the point. And if I add that we did that all in Chinese, that pretty much makes it a miracle.
Like I've been telling anyone who will listen, this trip has really been great because I've been able to see people – be it the workers there, Christians, sponsored kids, their parents – and a little glimpse of what goes on in their lives. Wen Bao, Ah Lian, Moses, Peter, Karis, Brother Yang, they aren't just names and faces anymore, they're people who need our prayer! Actually, I can't quite explain it, you really have to go to know what I'm talking about.
40 pairs of ears heard the gospel, 10 hearts accepted. To Him be all glory and praise.
And if all that isn't enough to convince you that China is the place to be, go watch the really cool snake-killing video. Hahahaha.
