Wow, I must say I'm extremely impressed with NTU Hall Admission's new system - what with their high cut off points that virtually render all local students ineligible (or, as they kindly put it, regrettably informed that they are unsuccessful in their applications), the maximum bulk of points being allocated to distance instead of participation (and here even so, people staying right at the other end of the country still apparently fall short of this extremely exclusive list); basically leaving room for foreigners, freshmen and people who so happen to be gifted enough to represent NTU in whatever.
If I'd known this would turn out to be some elitist Country Club membership scheme, you can be sure I wouldn't have wasted my time collecting pennies.
As it is, I certainly don't relish the fact that despite being quite considerably involved in hall activities for the past year, my roomless-ness now hangs on an obscure recommendation list floating about somewhere. Whether I do get it or not is not even the point.
Damn, I could go on forever but rest assured, SAO, you won't hear the end of this - as I said, extremely impressed.
