Tired of faux-romances.
I suppose I havent mentioned this before, but I have somewhat of a Valentines' Day curse - owing to the fact that I've never ever had a date on this particular god-forsaken day which someone sometime decided everyone should have a date on. Anyhow, this year feels slightly different (mainly because I'll be spending the rest of the day doing up my 3D project which is, annoyingly, due tomorrow), but also because the annually inevitable spikes of anti-romanticism have sorta taken a backseat this year. I won't pretend I don't cringe inwardly, still, at couples holding hands and giggling as they sweep past me, their heart-shaped balloons beating a rhythm against my face - but at least I give a decent it's-alright-I'm-fine-with-being-pounded-by-balloons smile. Of course, being stuck in the Sem Room past midnight yesterday wrapping huge heart-shaped candles and writing mushy love notes for people does wonders for quelling apathy. ..Kinda.
