Determination is one thing, but getting your teeth in and refusing to let go is quite another. This kind of fixation figures prominently between the two of you at the moment, and it's a little hard to see how to get past it. Courage, friends; where there's a will, there's a way, and there's definitely a will here (even if it's too much of one). Try coming at the issue from the bottom up.
