past caring.
hey everyone (:
been a long time since i've posted. sorry, not been feeling too good, but i'm okay now (: decided to stop caring about things that aren't worth it. ladida. okie! so, basically, for all those who asked, aussie was great! as great as the great barrier reef. lol. sorry. that was bad. yeah.. but i went snorkeling there! and it was the most beautiful thing i have ever seen, i am not kidding you. wwwwwwwwwwwhoooa. and my dad didn't let me get the underwater camera. i'm still griping over that. hahaha. i even saw a stingray!! but oh well. (: yeah. so that was in cairnes. the place is pretty small, and full of japs. we walked around the town, ironically did the most and best shopping there. (considering we went to goldcoast and sydney after that) there was this scenic railway thingy to some rainforest village, but that was dismal. i mean, okay la. no biggie. and ALSO! hot air balloon! whee! that was nice too!! :) except we didn't go very high cos of the wind, and we missed the sunrise cos of the bus, and then they offered an hours' ride instead of halfanhour, but we had to land earlier cos of the wind again, and then we had to land in this field of red soil, cos of the wind again, which totally ruined everyone's shoes and pants. other than that, it was great! hahah. no la, i seriously enjoyed it. wish we went higher tho. yuup!
after that, it was off to goldcoast! haha. might i mention that by this time i was already head over heels in love with.. the aussie accent! yea! haha. totally rocks, dude. anyway. i really like the people there.. very friendly. cliche comment, i know, but true! i wish s'poreans were like that. oh wells. yup, so we went to goldcoast. there was something called "schoolies" going on (which amelia warned me about).. where apparently all the student who have finished their uni exams all head down to GC to parrrtaay. yeah. and evidently they did. the place was swarming with them! ok granted, most of them are actually quite hot. but thats not the point. anyway, there were drumbeats in my ears every night. haha. i think its pretty funny. they have "schoolie support teams" which are made up of parent volunteers. lol. yeah. at goldcoast we basically went to theme parks - movieworld and seaworld, to be exact. it was great cos NO ONE was there. no crowds! whee. excellent. the best scenario u could ever want. i hate crowds. heheh. so yea! it was fun. went to seaworld, where, 7 years ago, i set my legendary record of 11times on the Pirate Ship. this time only four la, sadly. haha. not that i couldn't have gone more times.. dunno why also. i LOVE it. :) okie! thats basically GC! oh yea, went to this really nice chinese restaurant.. and we went there twice! first night ate this coral trout that cost $118. like whoa right? cant rem the rest, except we ordered like alot.. and had to pack 2 dishes back. haha! we were contemplating bringing those two dishes back the next night and asking them to warm it up for us, then eat there again. hhahahahah... WE DIDNT LA. -_-.
ok.. sydney. sydney was the WORST, freeking boring. except for my aunty's gd friend who lives there and brought us to these super duper nice places to eat, we would've stayed in the apartment and admired it all day. firstly, the weather is so cold, nothing could induce you to go out except streets full of nice shops. secondly, there are no nice shops. so there. okay, i mean.. its not THAT bad.. there was.. uh.. there was.. that... the.. okay, yah, it IS that bad. haha. i'm not infringing any tourism promotion laws or anything am i?
oh yea, those are a mere portion of the trip. the exciting part was the time in the airplanes/airports. hahaha. ok firstly, when we were at s'pore airport.. gonna board the plane, my sis saw like.. who was that. lum may yee and rosalind pho. haha. yah, same plane as us. guys, cue, start drooling. no la, they didn't look that nice also. lol. but anyhow. then, the real adventure began on the flight BACK to s'pore. ok, so we were waiting in the plane already, just waaaiting for takeoff. yknow, sitting there, until everyone realised - why the heck are we waiting so long? then the captain decided to announce that they were loading baggage (i think that was nonsense). so, ok, waaaaaaait. then the captain decided to tell to truth and tell us that the plane was 'slightly damaged - but from what i have seen, shouldn't be a problem'. dumdeedum. wait wait wait. 'sorry, a crew of techinicians has to check it, because the bridge hit the plane and blah blah.. but don't worry, the 747 is a very strong plane.. shouldn't take very long'. yupyup, sure! waaaaaaaait. 'sorry, ladies and gentlemen, i'm afraid we have to move you to the airport, apparently this will take at least a few hours. but don't worry we will serve you dinner on the plane first.' (like NOOOOOO just lemme out of the stupid plane already!!) okay, 2.5h after we boarded, the plane hasnt moved more than 50m, and we're eating dinner. me and yvonne groaning dismally cos we obviously cannot make it in time for night games at camp. damn. well, at least we werent sobbing hysterically like this other lady. yvonne was saying maybe her dad was dying or something, and we were arguing abt it for awhile, cos i said how could she have booked in advance for the flight - that would mean that she knew he was gonna die like today. umm yah we were boored. :/ hahaha. so yeah, and then.. after that told us they'd put us on other flights. out flight - 2215. siao. thats the time i was supposed to reach church! urgh! oh well. what to do. the only perk - they gave us each 15bucks worth of vouchers to buy stuff ard the airport. so i bought my dan brown book! haha. deception point. not the best one, i know, but a certain chang he jia is supposed to lend me angels and demons. ha. yes, you. ok yea.. then we just read all the way. my sis bought a book too. my parents didn't know what to buy so last min spent THIRTY BUCKS on timtams.. like noooooooooo.. you could buy me something else. hahah. yeah well. that was that. finally got on the plane. lucky nothing happened, or i would really freak. actually, kinda made us realise what being stuck in a country meant. no flight means no flight, you cant do anything also. yeah.. weird experience. yup. and that was it! haha. chow.
